Description | This unit covers developing feeding plans for a production system and defines the standard required to: discuss feed and nutritional content with nutritionist and managers; develop rations for different classes of livestock based on production targets and cost and availability of feeds and additives; assess adequacy of feed storage and distribution systems; supervise feed milling and mixing and sample feeds for analysis; maintain a consistent feeding regime and check water is always available; monitor livestock for symptoms of digestive problems and review feeding plan if required. | ||
